In his 153rd regular-season match, Federico Higuain became the first player to score 50 goals and 50 assists for Columbus Crew SC alone. The midfielder officially became the 19thmember of Major League Soccer’s elite and exclusive 50-50 club. Below are highlights from the historic game last Saturday.
Starting his career in Argentina, Higuain was acquired by Major League Soccer and Columbus Crew SC in 2012. Despite being aquired midseason, Pipa finished 2012 with a total of five goals and seven assists to earn the 2012 MLS Newcomer of the Year award. He then went on to be named the club's 2013 & 2014 Most Valuable Player. With 153 regular-season MLS games under his belt, Pipa currently sits on 50 goals and 51 assists.
